I’m all about comfort– if it’s comfortable, I’m going for it or if it’s casual, I’m definitely going for it. Getting dressed up is fun but I think it’s more fun to be wearing something you feel good in (and it helps if it feels good too). SHORT DAYS AND LONG NIGHTS

Like usual, Hong Kong has brought us straight to summer so there was no experience of spring. I’m not complaining though because it’s so simple to dress now– close my eyes, put my hand in the drawer, and grab a pair of shorts. Just kidding, it’s not as random but you get the idea. Animal print, leather, bright colors, these are my favorites. What’s your summer staple short?

JOIN THE CULTURE CLUB

Club Monaco’s motto of “get inspired by what inspires us” really resonates with me– all the effort I put into doing something or the posts I put together on the blog is all done with hopes that I might possibility instill some inspiration to my readers. Club Monaco has recently launched their new campaign entirely on one of my favorite social media platforms: Tumblr. If this skirt’s studs were any closer together, I’d have much bigger problems sitting down or scooting across the seat in a cab. Thank goodness you can’t actually feel it too much when you’re sitting down or else this skirt would be more for photo purposes than anything. Are you one to choose something that’s pretty over pragmatic? Or the other way around? I guess the saying every rose has its thorn is true to some extent.

LET THE LIGHTS DIM SUM

Puma and Hypebeast worked together on a collaboration to make some shoes that were a representation of what Hong Kong is about, so of course, food, specifically dim sum, would be the driving force behind this. The Dim Sum Project is a special collaboration– two pairs of sneakers inspired by the classic ‘har gao’ and ‘siu mai’ dim sum were made to bring you something that is unique as it is interesting. Just launched yesterday, get them while they’re hot and fresh.

It’s really hard to stay away from the Internet and technology when everything is right at your fingertips with a laptop or a cell phone, but sometimes I feel like some time unplugged is needed to refresh and revive. As easy as it is to look on other blogs and magazines to get inspiration, it’s always more organic and significant to get inspired from our surroundings and people. You bump into a million people walking from place to place in Hong Kong and see a million different things whether it be architecture or style or design. Where do you get inspiration from?
