Besides soaking up the culture and making sure I try the local cuisine, my favorite part about traveling is the accommodations. It’s always exciting to find a place to stay that is in a centralized area that gives a peek into daily, local life. The Andaz Tokyo Hotel is exactly that – located in Toranomon Hills with interior design that utilizes wood and washi paper. Service is excellent and it was easy to get to Ginza.
Ginza is one of my favorite places to eat and shop, and recently, with the opening of Mori Building’s Ginza Six, there’s no reason not to hang out there. The interiors are clean and modern with an exhibit by Yayoi Kusama on display. With over 200 local and international brands stocked, there’s plenty to look at. With floors designated for restaurants, there’s a lot to eat too.
