Morning rituals are like private appointments that you have with your mind and the world. It’s a peaceful time to reflect and plan and have a moment to yourself. I’ve found that taking some time first thing in the morning to do some reading helps ground me for the rest of the day. At the start of the day, I can look forward to a constant calmness and focus that allows me to take on the rest of the chaos and new encounters during the rest of the day. Besides having some time to myself, I can also get some reading done, which is a reward in itself these days.
