On the third day of our trip to Bali we ventured to the Uluwatu Temple. It’s a spot I visit every time I am in Bali. The view is just unbeatable. The monkeys that inhabit the area can be a bit intimidating, especially when they warn you about them stealing and jumping on you. Nonetheless, I love going to soak up the sound of crashing waves.
I am a firm believer in the saying “a special occasion is not where you are, but what you wear.” and hey, what better location to wear this gorgeous flowy Roberto Cavalli number than with the flawless Indian Ocean as a backdrop. “When in doubt, overdress.” is thought that almost only come to mind when I put on Roberto Cavalli, and rightfully so. It seems to give me a boost of superwoman powers.
In respect to the temple, women who enter must wear sarongs. At first we were skeptical of how it would look, but after a quick dig in the sarong pile we managed to find ones that matched our outfits just fine. Can you say it’s east meets west chic. haha
I love the element of fantasy Alex added to these photos. It perfectly depicts how we felt that day, and our experience in Bali. I mean, with a little imagination and childlike wonder, let these photos inspire you to live each day in technicolor.
