In the city, there’s always so many restaurants to choose from for Cantonese cuisine that it can be hard to make a decision. When it comes to eating traditional Chinese fare in Hong Kong, I like to visit the restaurants inside the hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui. The new hairy crab menu at the Chinese Restaurant was simple and delicious– instead of trying to modernize or fuse hairy crab with any new techniques, Chef Lo sticks to tradition and freshness for a really great dinner meal.

Recommendations: Steamed fresh crab claw, hairy crab roe, glutinous rice- This is a traditional way of eating crab, and the meaty claw is covered in a large helping of crab roe. Drizzle it with garlic vinegar and the next thing you know, you’ll have eaten it all. Smoked chicken, jasmine tea- This dish is so fragrant with smoky jasmine tea that you can’t help but eat more than a few pieces.
